I have my own understanding towards the misery of life. The reason mainly lies in human's inability to create, which leads to decay, putting people in chronic depression. By creating, I mean so much more than just the art aspect.

 

I once read this heart-wrenching, thought-provoking novel by an icelandic writer, the title being "angels of the universe". In it there was a man (not the hero) who commits suicide, he owns a house, a car, a privileged job, and a lovely family. Yet he chooses to wave goodbye to all those goodness that people take granted for. "Even someone like him commits suicide, someone who has a house and a family" the book says so.

 

Why is that then? As much as I can explain, it is because even the most fancy stuff in the world can't replace our will. It may be greedy will, sinister will, selfish will, all kinds of wills which against conventional morality. But hey that's not important, we want to take control of our life, we want to live our dreams instead of being the part of other's plans, whims or schemes. We want to jump out of the box rather than being in the grid that someone else drew for us. Fast car and sea-view house can not bribe the free spirit. Yet I'm by no means a Primitivismist, it always lead to a horrible extreme if you hold absolute belife in something, I knew this from the cautionary tale from Fightclub.

 

Chaos is in demand if chaos can bring along creativity.
Creativity is in demand because it is the sun ray in the vast blackness of life.
I have no grounds for what I've said
